Albas Falls is absolutely our founder’s Happy Place. Located about a half-hour before Seymour Arm, Albas Falls Provincial Park is a dreamy wonderland with a majestic hike wandering along Celestia Creek (that name, though!) flowing down 5 spectacular waterfalls. There are no words to describe the beauty of this magical place.
Just after Salmon Arm, turn left off Hwy 1 onto Squilax-Anglemont Rd. This will eventually turn into a gravel FSR. (Not that you should have a radio to call your KMs as it is an active forestry road). You’ll be on this road for about 30kms, and it is a slow go with quite a lot of washboard. Turn right at the sign for Albas Provincial Park.
We highly recommend a vehicle with AWD or 4×4 capability as this road down to the lake can be dicey. There is very little room on the road for 1 vehicle let alone 2, so be prepared to back up all way to allow the bigger vehicle to continue on.
Albas Falls offers very little in the way of camping. Consider going early or late in the season to try your luck at getting one of the limited places to camp in this undeveloped area.
There are no services outside of outhouses here, so please make sure to leave no trace, pack in what you pack out.
