Since it was first opened as a campground in the spring of 1979 by Hector Bodchon, the resort has not stopped expanding. Bodchon fell in love with the resort and the surrounding area’s natural charm, and so he set out to build three sturdy log cabins with remarkable sea views that could be used all year round.

Just 15 years after the first log cabin was constructed, Bodchon decided to sell the resort to two couples who promised to finish what he had started, and that’s exactly what they did.

How To Get to Crystal Cove Beach Resort

To get there, follow Highway 4 West through to Port Alberni. Once you arrive at the port, you’re going to want to continue along the highway until you get to the Ucluelet-Tofino junction. At the junction, take a right towards Tofino on the Pacific Rim Highway and carry on for around 30km. The resort is approximately 3km south of the town of Tofino, so if you’ve reached town, you have gone too far.
